MY BEGINNER CODING RESOURCES

MY BEGINNER GUIDE TO CODING-2.png

A few months ago I picked up one of my old hobbies again, coding! I started to learn in high school, really enjoyed it. I continued when I moved back to Haiti but as I got closer to graduating it kind of took the back seat and when I got to college I completely stopped. One of my new year's resolutions was to start learning again, and since I am blogging now, I can apply what I learn to my blog. I thought I would share the process of it all so if you're interested in learning too, you can see my resources.

CODECADEMY

Codecademy is one of the most popular platforms to learn most of the languages that are great for beginners; I love it because it guides you through the coding your screen is split into two on one half you see all your coding and on the other the result of it all.

MOZILLA THIMBLE

This is just like Codecademy, but without the guidance, they also have projects available if you want to practice.

 REDDIT

If you have a question or you're stuck on a problem chances are you will find help on Reddit

BOOKS

I recently got these two books  Web Design with HTML, CSS and  JavaScript and jQuery Set by Jon Duckett, I did some research on the book, and it seems like this one os a great one for beginners, the illustrations and examples are great in it. When I was doing some research on it one bad review that I kept seeing is how the book falls apart easily; mine seems fine if anything you can just put it in a binder.
