HAITI JOURNAL: JACMEL
Finally getting back to blogging. I thought I was going to post more once I got back to California but it just got so hectic, trying to move in, building my furniture (which was quite easy and surprisingly therapeutic for me). These are a few of the pictures I took in Haiti during my trip to Jacmel if you ever go to Haiti make sure you explore the province there are so many beautiful places.
As much as I enjoyed my trip, I was looking forward to this new school year. I got back into student government, and I am starting to like the construction classes I am taking. I had a little rough time getting adjusted in the beginning since construction in Haiti, is pretty different from the states. I am also practicing Spanish more; my goal is to be able to have a decent conversation and understand the language a lot more in six months. We'll see how that goes!
... What else? I didn't read as much as I wanted to this summer, and usually, when I am not in the mood to read I don't force it because I already know I won't enjoy the book as much, but I am ready to get the ball rolling and start posting reviews again!
Oh! and also I am planning on doing a room tour soon since I am living off campus this year, I have a room to myself (that's a luxury for me, since living in California). I don't even think it can be a tour since the room is a little square but I am planning on making it, super cute.
